8.18.09 ShortsHD Taps Andrita Media Center to Launch HD Network Andrita Providing Transmission and Network Playback Services for ShortsHD
(Los Angeles, Calif. – August 18, 2009) Broadcast Facilities, Inc. (BFI), owner and operator of Andrita Media Center, the largest independent SD and HD network origination, production, post-production and digital media facility on the West Coast, today announced they will be providing transmission and network playback services for ShortsHD (AT&T U-verse Channel 1789).
Andrita’s expanded state-of-the-art HD network playback center will support the origination of ShortsHD’s extensive selection of short movies content on a 24/7 basis. The network playback services provided by Andrita also include automated HD graphics insertion. Andrita’s launch of ShortsHD’s network highlights its unique position as a large-scale, independent facility equipped with the required technology to help content providers originate and uplink content as they deploy new HD networks.
